Announcement for media – after the conference

From 16th till 18th of June 2014 Croatian Linux users association and Croatian association for Open Systems and Internet hosted another DORS/CLUC conference that celebrated its 21st birthday.

Conference lasted for 3 days and has been fulfilled with wide spectrum of keynotes, talks and workshops. First day of a conference has traditionally started with conference opening talks which were held by organizers and sponsors and of course by our this years winner of Open Informatics award professor Stjepan Ledinski. He won that award because of his long term FLOSS contributions in education sector.

After opening part conference carried on with 3 days full of keynotes, talks, workshops and networking where we could learn a lot from how Kolabsys tool functions to how to setup your own cloud at home with Ganeti technology.

We are very satisfied with conference outcome and which was not easy to organize nor host. Therefore we would like to thank everyone who has helped us that we finish another DORS/CLUC conference successfully.

Conferences like DORS/CLUC are really important in order FLOSS technologies could be recognized easier and the whole philosophy and community that stands behind that technology as well. We really hope that DORS/CLUC conference will be recognized more in the future and that more people will realize that open approach gives much in technology and social sense.
